live phytoplankton orders will return august 18th
If you’ve been with us for a while, you may be aware that we’ve experienced some complications in our facilities this summer. Most recently, we suffered a power outage that resulted in the loss of our entire Tetraselmis supply! During this pause, we will be implementing upgrades to prevent this issue from recurring in the future. We will also be working to more consistently stock our supply of our phytoplankton disks. These have been selling out within minutes of stocking them online! Check them out if you are unfamiliar, as they are a great alternative to live phytoplankton for home culturing hobbyists.
We’re not just thrilled to dish out top-notch phytoplankton to our awesome customers; we’ve also enjoyed helping countless hobbyists master the art of DIY plankton culturing over the last decade. Each year in business has tossed us a new curveball, like when my retired dad passed daily operations to me almost two years ago. Our newest obstacle has been Mother Nature and her unprecedented temperature extremes in late summer and winter, complicating shipping of our delicate, temperature-sensitive product.
